Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Slopless browser extension and the slopless websites operated at useslopless.com (together, the "Service"). By installing the extension or purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Slopless is a browser extension that attempts to detect and hide AI-generated content on supported websites. Detection is based on platform labels, provenance metadata, curated lists, and heuristic scoring. It is inherently probabilistic: Slopless may miss AI-generated content and may occasionally hide human-made content. No specific detection accuracy is promised.

2. Free and Pro tiers

The extension's core features are free. A paid "Pro" subscription unlocks additional detection layers and features as described on the pricing page. Feature composition of each tier may change over time.

3. Purchases and billing

Pro subscriptions are sold through Paddle, our merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's checkout terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through the Paddle customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

4. License keys and activations

A Pro purchase issues a license key that may be activated in up to 5 browsers at a time. You may deactivate a browser to free the seat. Keys are for your personal use; sharing, reselling, or publishing a key may result in its revocation.

5. Acceptable use

You may not reverse-engineer the license system, interfere with the Service's infrastructure, or use the Service in violation of applicable law. Websites you visit have their own terms; you are responsible for your use of those sites.

6. Intellectual property

The Slopless extension, website, and detection data are proprietary. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use them; you do not acquire ownership. Third-party lists and libraries bundled with the extension remain subject to their own licenses.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will correctly classify any particular piece of content.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including content you did or did not see as a result of filtering.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or revoke licenses obtained fraudulently or used in violation of these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
